Where is SOA Going: Web 2.0, Business Events, Virtualization, Information On Demand
Prolifics University concludes by looking ahead at what hot topics are here today and will be integral in your SOA infrastructure tomorrow.
Web 2.0, Business Events, Virtualization and Information on Demand aren't just buzzwords - they can take your company and its resources
above and beyond your competitors and help you carve a niche within your industry.
Find out how easy it can be to build situational applications using WebSphere sMash. With its cache of
Web 2.0 technologies, such as Ajax, Groovy, RSS and PHP, you have the tools to build dynamic Web applications that
can leverage your SOA assets.
Business Event Processing allows business users to define signals of interest that occurred and
triggers pre-defined actions based on identified business event patterns.
These patterns can be proactively defined, analyzed allowing action on changes occurring in the business
to seize critical business opportunities or to mitigate risks.
Virtualization technologies are maturing and allowing organizations to improve resource utilization.
By separating applications and services from the underlying infrastructure, workloads can be dynamically placed
across a pool of application server resources, resulting in increased application availability and
increased ROI from reductions in server costs and improvements in energy efficiency.
Information On Demand is a comprehensive vision for unlocking the business value of information for competitive advantage
by enabling organizations to establish and leverage trusted information to optimize business performance.
Information as a Service is the enabler that virtualizes data and content from the base applications
so that information can placed onto an enterprise services bus and shared across an enterprise, enabling better business flexibility.
